The Appointing Authority may use the results of the criminal records search solely for the purpose of evaluating the candidates for Commissioner and alternate. Nothing in this Chapter 2.45 shall be construed to require the 8election Panel or the Mayor to disqualify an applicant because of the results of the criminal records search.
