For Towing And Storage Of Vehicles, Collection And Administration Of City's Administrative Towing Fees, Lien Sale By Public Auction Of Abandoned Vehicles And Various Administrative Services Connected With The Towing Operation, And Authorizing The City Administrator To Accept And Appropriate An Estimated Annual Payment In The Amount Of $1,300,000 From B&B Vehicle Processing, Inc. For Payment Of Administrative And Other Costs In Connection With The Requirements Of The Contract 07-1299 Play Video A motion was made by Member Quan, seconded by Member Kernighan, that this matter be *Approve the Recommendation of Staff, and Forward to the Concurrent Meeting of the Oakland Redevelopment Agency / City Council, due back on June 17, 2008 as a Consent Calendar item. The motion carried by the following vote: Votes: Councilmember Aye: Member Kernighan, Member Nadel, Member Quan and Chair Reid The Committee directed staff to submit a supplemental report including the comparison of cities that was used in determining the tow fees. Staff was also directed to keep track of the number of people that walk away from their cars.
