The motion carried by the following vote: Votes: Councilmember Aye: Member Kernighan, Member Nadel, Member De La Fuente and Chair Quan The committee directed staff to return to the April 13, Finance and Management Committee meeting and under the Workforce Diversity report respond to the following questions: 1) At what stage do Oakland residents Police and Fire recruits get eliminated (i.e. interview process, credit check, etc) and 2) The composition of the interview panel in comparison to what other cities use (What is the criteria used by our city and other cities for screening candidates). Staff to return with status update on TCSE/ELDE positions in July.
