Item 2E: Harriett Waterfield v. City of Oakland The Council authorized settlement in the amount of $40,000. Plaintiff alleged that she tripped and fell due to a defective City sidewalk. Plaintiff suffered torn ligaments in her left knee and a bone contusion. She also underwent knee surgery and 8 months of physical therapy.
