The motion carried by the following vote: Votes: Councilmember Excused: Vice Mayor Reid Councilmember Aye: Member Gibson McElhaney, Council President Kernighan and Member Schaaf The Committee approved the following motion to: 1) Approve, in concept, the name change of the 19th Street BART Station to "19th Street/Oakland Uptown;" 2) The application to change the name will be submitted on behalf of the City to BART for approval and a determination of the estimated costs of the change for the City; and 3) The item will be brought back to Council for final approval of name change and costs.
