Of Legislation:
1) Approve The Introduction (First Reading) Of An Ordinance Authorizing The Purchase Of
Real Property At 1718 50th Avenue, Oakland (APN 035-2386-019)) From Dierdre Veals, For
$309,000, Plus Customary Real Estate Closing Costs, For Redevelopment As Fire Station 18
And Accepting A Contribution Of $309,000, Plus Customary Real Estate Closing Costs, From
The Redevelopment Agency Under The Cooperation Agreement For The Purchase Of The
Property; And
07-0539
A motion was made by Councilmember Kernighan, seconded by
Councilmember Brunner, that this matter be Approved as Amended on
Introduction for Final Passage to the Concurrent Meeting of the Oakland
Redevelopment Agency / City Council, due back on October 2, 2007. The
motion carried by the following vote:
Votes: ORAICouncilmember Ayes: 8 - Councilmember Kernighan, Councilmember
Chang, Councilmember Nadel, Councilmember Brunner, Councilmember Quan,
President of the Council De La Fuente, Councilmember Brooks and
Councilmember Reid
Upon the reading of Item 14.2 by the City Clerk, the Public Hearing was
opened at 7.42pm
