Agency/Councilmember Wan made a motion, seconded by Vice Mayor Nadel, to
discontinue the Risk Management Incentive Program, and develop a program like the
City of Phoenix that requires each department to manage their own risk.
Agency/Councilmember Brooks made a substitute motion, seconded by Agency/
Councilmember Quan, to direct staff to continue to review the City of Phoenix program
and return with recommendations to Council on January 6, 2004, and hearing no
objections, the motion passed by Ayes: Agency/Councilmember: Brooks, Brunner,
Chang, Nadel, Reid, Quan, and President of the Council De La Fuente 7; No: Wan 1
A motion was made that this matter be Continued to the Concurrent Meeting of
the Oakland Redevelopment Agency / City Council, due back on January 6, 2004.
