The motion carried by the following vote: Votes: Councilmember Aye: Member Kaplan, Member Kernighan, Member Brooks and Chair Nadel The Committee amended the Resolution to add the following information to the Evaluative Criteria Chart: 1) Incentives to preventing/stopping illegal dumping; 2) Household hazardous waste/electronic waste reduction; 3) First Source Reduction; 4) Public Information/Outreach strategies; 5) Slightly broken furniture to have reuse/recycling repair alternatives; 6) Educational/Outreach component to Business Merchants. The Committee further directed staff to provide additional information on the following: 1) How are we making ""materials for reuse"" available before going to the landfill, with minimal remanufacturing or none at all; 2) How do we legally incorporate/involve and help the Day Recyclers to be more effective. The Committee will receive a future separate report on Local Source Reduction.
